Engine Blocks are attached inside the engine mount tube. They prevent the engine from moving forward during thrust and transfer this energy to the rocket itself.

Some Engine Blocks can also be used as Centering Rings.  

The Suburban Rocketry engine mounts can be glued inside the engine mount tube with any glue suitable for cardboard or wood.
